The truth is that following a tooth extraction, or a simple dental surgical intervention, the chances of developing a huge health complication is quite rare. However, it can happen.

There has been recorded a case in which a patient developed slight paralysis and general weakness because the dentist missed to treat a tooth infection.

This respective patient visited his dentist complaining of an ache in his wisdom tooth.

X-rays has been performed, but nothing unusual was noticed; the patient however continued on complaining about the sharp pain. After this, the patient was sent to an oral surgeon for tooth extraction.

After the extraction, the patient has been complaining of a very sharp headache, and he woke up the next day with feeling a big weakness in his right hand. The patient did not complain of any pain in his arm, but only of loss of control.

He simply couldn’t move his hand the way he wanted. It is important to mention that the patient did not suffer from any chronic illness that could have brought to light about such symptoms.

When he saw that these symptoms are actually not going away, the patient was immediately thinking of the possibility of a stroke.

When he was admitted to the hospital, the medical staff told him that he was actually struggling with a brain tumor. They saw a white mass on his brain, which was an indicator of the tumor.

The patient however was insisting on telling the doctors that he had his tooth pulled out, and was wondering maybe the problem may be because of that.

The doctors didn’t even pay too much attention; they just kept telling him he has to face his destiny because there is a tumor existent on his brain.

Later on, the patient started feeling a weakness on his entire right side, and was by now struggling with a nonfunctional leg as well.

The doctors decided to operate on the tumor, and after the surgery the patient was told that there is actually no tumor existent.

There was a fluid in his brain which was filled with bacteria that penetrated there after the extraction.

Instead of cancer as the doctors diagnosed, this entire health complication was caused by a dental abscess.
