One Response to “When Root Canal Treatment Is Needed, Symptoms and Signs”

  1. I recently presented to my doctor with a swollen left jaw and neck. I was referred to my dentist for review even though I was not experiencing any tooth pain. Xrays were taken, the first was inconclusive and the second showed some nerve infection. Root canal procedure was commenced. I was started on a course of anit-biotics three days before the dental visit and I have been told it will take five weeks for the swelling to go down. Is this correct?? and if so why would it take so long?
