Teeth Gap Considered a Fashion Trend

The 2010 article in Huffington Post entitled, “Will Gap Teeth Become the Next Bog Fashion Trend, “contemplates about whether having a teeth gap is slowly becoming a trend.

This speculation was supposedly attributed to how youngsters are dubious about models and celebrities’ perfection in this digital age, where Photoshop makes it possible to achieve desirable features by getting rid of imperfections.

While a gap between teeth is perceived to showcase originality and authenticity, which appears attractive to the public.

Teeth gap or diastema in its medical term is one of the many dental flaws that people usually associates the ugly. Having a gap in the front portion of the teeth is considered unsightly, thus, many people having this dental problem are spending thousands of dollars just to get it corrected.

But do you know that there are people who are proud to have a gap between their teeth? In fact, most of them are celebrities. Do you want to know who some of them are?

According to reports this actress playing the lead role in True Blood, where a set of teeth is consistently shown for their vampire fangs, is determined to keep her gap. She just refuses to close that gap for reasons only known to her.

Need I say more? Madonna has been and will always want to be unique and a trendsetter. Madonna has a little gap between her front teeth. If you think about her millions in the bank that could have helped close it a long time ago, you would say she’s not reasonable. But it’s Madonna we are talking about. She doesn’t really care, does she?

Kirsten Dunst

In a past interview with Elle UK, Kirsten Dunst revealed the reason behind her refusal to get her gap between teeth fixed.

According to Dunst, “”I love my snaggle fangs. They give me character and character is sexy.”

If you think about her past movies, you will recall that she once played a Vampire role with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. It makes you wonder whether she and Anna Paquin are friends.
