WASHINGTON, May 1, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The American Dental Association today released the third in a series of papers that examine the challenges and solutions to bringing good oral health to millions of Americans who, for multiple reasons, lack access to regular dental care.

February is Children’s Dental Health Month, and the national Give Kids a Smile event sponsored by ADA (American Dental Association) took start. Throughout the month, dental professionals from all across the country will join their forces to offer free dental care to children who come from underserved families. According to estimations, there will be around 450,000 children and adolescents who will get dental treatment.
A few days ago, a dental association and insurance company from Kansas brought to light some interesting plans. They want to develop a college loan-repayment program in order to bring dentists in the rural areas of Kansas. There are several underserved areas in the state, and many organizations and associations see this plan as a very important one.
Saturday, families in need received free dental services from a Southeast Valley dentist. Dr. Ian Young and his staff of dental professionals performed dental fillings, professional cleanings and root canal treatments for free.
Spotsylvania County will welcome a new dental office that will be opened by a company specializing in free and affordable dental care for underprivileged children. The clinic is scheduled for opening next month, on September 12.

In Wassau, on June 24th and 25th a number of 2,000 patients will receive $1 million in free dental care. A large scale dental clinic will operate on site of the Greenbeck Field House. Those eligible for the free dental treatments, include adults and children who do not have proper health insurance, those who are underserved and those who simply cannot afford proper dental care.
On June 11th and 12th a team made up of 120 students and faculty staff from the University of Louisville will travel to Kentucky to offer free dental help hand for the people who need professional dental care services.
On May the 14th at Park City Dentistry with its office situated at 1600 Snow Creek Drive, there will be held a free dental care day. According to Dr. Cody Calderwood, there are a lot of citizens in Park City who simply cannot afford even basic dental treatments.
