As said by PM Viktor Orban, a huge contribution to Hungary’s economy is generated by dental tourism, which makes up to sixty billion forints or EUR 227m annually. In a conference on dental tourism, held near Budapest, Orban signed an agreement of cooperation with president-CEO, Medical Tourism Office as well as Laszlo Szucs, one of founders of dental tourism development programme.
Dental tourism is the best option, especially when the NHS does not offer coverage for a root canal surgery for example, or when you have to wait for too long on those waiting lists. UK citizens seek more and more for the best offers in the dental tourism section, but also for other interventions such as heart surgery, knee replacement, chemotherapy or fertility treatments which are all quite expensive procedures.
According to a recent study, the most expensive country for dental care is England. This will probably result in many patients who will look for dental treatment abroad.
