A US $4.7 million pan-Canadian trial is being run by researchers from the UBC (University of British Columbia). The research aims to improve the outcome for those individuals who have to undergo surgery for treating oral squamous cancer. If the findings from the new study are mainly positive, this study could be the first step towards revolutionizing patient care and clinical practice in the entire World, not only Canada.
