If you have every canceled a dentist appointment simply because you are not a fan of the dentist’s chair, you may have an issue with dental anxiety. Dental anxiety is very common, even though you may feel like you’re the only one who feels hesitation. There are so many reasons why people of all ages may not look forward to dental visits, including a past negative dental experience, and aversion to the sights, sounds and smells in the office, a sensitive gag reflex, or plain old fear of pain or something going wrong.
