    Free Dental Clinics to Provide Care During Dental Health Month

    Local dentists and free dental clinics gave unprivileged elementary school students something to smile about, as they partnered for the second annual Give Kids A Smile Program. Dentists participated in a nationwide program called Dentistry from the Heart, which provides free dental treatment and consultation to those adults who do not have access to dental care or cannot afford it.

More than 100 student volunteers and nearly twenty faculty accompanied by more than thirty pre-dental student volunteers assisting with check-in, information tables and games for young patients.

    A large group of people waits for the opportunity to receive free dental work from the national dental programs. Children receive free dental work within Give Kids a Smile, a program that provides free services to children without dental insurance. Adults over 18 were given the option of receiving a free cleaning, extraction or filling at the annual Dentistry From the Heart program.
