National Dental Insurer Fights Tooth Decay by Providing Free Dental Services in 2010
To help combat the problem of dental disease in children, United Concordia Dental will provide free dental services, including exams, fillings and extractions, to those with little or no insurance. Last year, United Concordia provided nearly $590,000 in free dental services to more than 3,900 children and adults.

Tooth abscess infection mainly occurs due to deep caries where the infection spreads from the infected carious lesion to the roots. Other causes of tooth abscess are trauma to the tooth, where excess pressure is applied on the tooth or sometimes due to gum disease.
