Preventing Tooth Decay and Bad Breath

Bad breath and dental decay are perhaps two of the most common dental problems. In the greatest majority of cases, both of them can be easily prevented by respecting a proper dental health regimen.

HOT!

When bad breath is caused by an underlying health complication such as kidney failure or diabetes, then it is indeed more difficult to treat the condition. But other than that, both conditions can be prevented.

Bad breath is many times the result of infrequent brushing, flossing or using the mouthwash.

If you struggle with bad breath, you should just try brushing regularly your teeth twice a day, use the dental floss every evening before bed, and use a good antibacterial mouthwash.

You will be amazed at the results within a few days. When you give your mouth the hygiene and attention it deserves, you can also keep dental cavities formation at bay.

Keep away the enemies of your teeth- for beautiful, strong and white teeth, you should really not “feed” them with sugar. Make sure to lower your sugar intake, brush regularly and you will see that cavities will not form that easily.

Take care of the cavities that you already have by getting fillings, and then pay attention and eat mostly teeth friendly, healthy foods.

A great role in cavity formation is played by the dental plaque deposits.

Use a good mouthwash to not allow plaque to deposit on your teeth, and don’t forget to brush the inner tooth surfaces as well, where plaque builds up most frequently.

Chew sugarless gum – this habit is good for both conditions. By chewing gum, you increase the saliva flow which helps with bad breath, while it also hinders plaque formation on teeth.

Ask your dentist to apply sealants on your molars. Yes, the dental sealants are available for adults too, not only kids.

These will help preventing the formation of cavities, which in turn would give a very bad breath sensation because of the rotting tooth.

Kill the halitosis bacteria with peppermint oil and tea tree oil- You can add only a few drops of these precious oils to your brush, and then you will surely exterminate the harmful bacteria causing bad breath.
