You may have heard that professional teeth whitening can cost several hundreds of dollars – which you cannot afford to give away just now.
But you need a set of pearly white teeth which will allow you to smile freely and get rid of the frustration of talking in the public and showing your teeth.
Things you will need:
- Hydrogen peroxide solution – 3 teaspoons
- Baking soda- 2 teaspoons
- A tiny spot of toothpaste or one little drop of mint oil or flavor
These are all household products, which can be procured easily from the drugstore or supermarket. Take a small sized bowl, and start preparing the magic potion. Put the baking soda in the container, and drop the three teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide right over the soda.
Now stir well in order to create a homogenous paste. Obtaining the consistency of toothpaste can be challenging at first, but these are not very expensive products, so you can try redoing the procedure several times. When you obtained a nice paste, creamy texture, you can now put a little bit of toothpaste in there, or you can add a few drops of mint flavored oil.
This mixture will be used to brush your teeth, just like you do with regular toothpaste. It is important to allow this teeth whitening paste to sit on your teeth for a few minutes (2 to 3 minutes is enough). Be careful not to swallow any of the toothpaste. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water after the 2-3 minutes have passed. Use this home remedy teeth whitener no more than once or twice per week.
It is important to get your mouth rid of the peroxide solution, so you should brush your teeth with regular toothpaste after this procedure. If you are a smoker, a regular coffee or red wine drinker, you will certainly notice the difference.
People who should NOT use this home made teeth whitening remedy:
- patients with many dental cavities
- those struggling with gingivitis
- gum disease sufferers
- patients who have got open sores in their mouths
Peroxide can be irritating to the mouth tissue and your gums if you suffer from the above conditions. In such cases, avoid using this solution altogether.
