This way, tooth decay and gum disease can be avoided later in life. If children acquire healthy oral habits at an early age, they will avoid later dental problems in their adulthood.

A recent study has been released by the American Association of Pediatric Dentists. In it, it is revealed that 42% of the mothers admit that their children would need to respect a more rigorous and systematic dental health plan. Regular dental checkups are not enough in order to establish proper dental hygiene, but regular at home hygiene practice is also very important.

Children like to learn through playing. Therefore, with their dental health regimen too, they should be taught in a fun way to adhere to the schedule.

For example, an innovative device called Waterpik Water Flosser uses a technology that allows little children to floss their teeth without having to use the regular string floss, which might be too complicated for them. It has been clinically proven that this tool is two times as effective as regular floss, and it removes successfully 99.9% of the plaque on their teeth, if used regularly.

Children who wear orthodontics can use it easily as well, because the tool makes it very easy to clean around the braces. Braces might cost up to $7,000 for children, and estimates show that 2.8 million children are getting new braces on a yearly basis. Therefore, proper hygiene around the braces is of key importance.

The Waterpik Flosser provides extreme ease of use, and the tool can be customized because it comes with 20 removable decals which are colorful and playful.

It has a compact size, and it also comes with two different tips (Orthodontic and Classic Jet) so that you can choose the one that is more suitable for your child. The flosser has an electrical design which is childproof, and it comes with 3 different pressure settings.
