Consider making a thermos of green tea to drink at work. The night before, steep 3 to 4 green tea bags in 4 cups of boiling-hot water in a covered thermos for three to five minutes. Remove the bags.     I am a dental hygienist and this article is very useful and educational. I knew most of it already, but will pass on some info to my patients! The dental field requires endless learning and researching. Definitely rinse with water if you don’t feel like brushing at night as well as flossing, or if you aren’t able to brush at the moment at least keep floss with you and in your car. Another item that prevents plaque is xylitol which is a natural sugar from tree bark. The microbes in our mouth are unable to create plaque from food debris and has been researched to prevent cavity formation by up to 75% if used daily (25 mg). Chewing sugar free gum with xylitol is very helpful and can help a great deal especially after eating.

    For preventing tooth infection, I recommend Oil of Oregano. This is very safe and has a long history. I put 7 drops of the oil in 1/2 ounce of water and then swish for 15 minutes, then expel. For an abcess, soak a Q-Tip in 10% solution by using water and vigorous shaking first to disperse the oil. Swab the tooth and gum. Then leave the Q-Tip between cheek and gum for 5 minutes.
    Swish with cod liver oil for 15 minutes. This also has the effect of “oil pulling” to remove infection.
    Swish with a solution of garlic oil and water.
    Electrify a bad tooth with approx 200uA of pulsating DC current using cotton electrodes, one on the tooth and the return electrode on the opposite side between cheek and teeth.
    Swish 1.75% peroxide for 15 min.
    Swish Xylitol and water for 15 min.
