On August 17, an extremely successful free dental care project took place in Austin, Texas.
This has been the second annual Serve Day and dentists from all across Texas offered free dental care to more than 200 members of the community who couldn’t otherwise access the treatments they needed.
Several dental offices have joined forces with many community partners, youth organizations, nonprofit centers and even local churches in order to make this free dental care event possible.
Some of the free dental treatments provided included professional dental cleanings, digital X-rays, dental fillings, and general oral health examinations.
Serve Day is about giving back something to the community, and all those who volunteered for this event are particularly happy and fulfilled that they could indeed offer a little help for people who found it impossible to access proper dental care services.
On a national level, on Serve Day there participated well over 200 dental offices and as many as 1,400 patients have been treated.
These types of humanitarian events are about making dentistry affordable to everyone struggling with financial hardships or lack of proper dental insurance.
