Seniors Received Free Dental Care

A team of volunteer dentists, dental hygienists and dental students held a free dental clinic day on December 14 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

This free dental clinic day was aimed at helping the seniors of the community receive proper treatments.

Well over 40 senior adults received free dental treatments on this day.

The free dental clinic day has been coordinated by the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan.

This free dental clinic has been held at the Grand Rapids Community College Dental Clinic.

Seniors were offered free dental cleanings, oral health examinations and X-rays.

The patients who were in need of major dental treatments were actually referred to another dentist who would provide the needed care for free or at discounted rates to suit the patient’s needs.

The organizers are extremely happy they could paint a smile on the face of so many seniors in need, and they hope they will be able to organize many such free dental clinic days in the future.

For this however, more and more volunteers are needed.
