Needy Children Received Free Dental Care

Dental professionals from the Peoria District Dental Society offered free dental care treatments to needy children.

The professionals were able to offer free dental care treatments to about 100 children this Friday.

Besides free dental treatments, the children also received free toothpaste and toothbrushes kits at the 11th Give Kids Smile Day hosted by the society.

Throughout the month of February, the dental professionals are going to offer free dental care services to abut 100 more children who need these treatments.

Such free dental care days are extremely important, considering there are so many children out there who cannot afford a dentist.

Either because they do not have proper dental insurance, or because parents cannot pay for the treatment their little one needs, such free dental care events are indeed making a huge difference in the life of these kids.

Children who needed extensive dental care treatments were actually referred to private appointments.

There were about 50 such private dentists providing help and relief from dental pain for these children.
