Kids from Low-Income Families Received Free Dental Care

On Monday, children from the Alton IL area received free dental care worth of several thousands of dollars.

HOT!

The free dental clinic for kids was held at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.

Free dental treatments have been provided to children between 3 and 13 years of age, who came from low income families.

Parents were extremely thankful for this free dental project in their area.

Many of them said they could not afford taking their little ones for a dental checkup in the past two years.

This free dental project is sponsored by the ADA (American Dental Association) and it is called Give Kids A Smile Day.

Children who qualify for such cross country free dental clinics are the ones who receive low cost or free meals at schools.

The children received a great variety of free dental treatments, including everything from professional dental cleanings, and up to dental X-rays, dental fillings and extractions.

On this particular event, there were about 500 dental professionals volunteering.
