Huge Demand for Free Dental Clinics

The Shire Dental Centre is doing a lot in the way of giving something back to the community, by offering free dental services for people who cannot otherwise afford them.

Such a free dental clinic is being held four times each year by dentist Peter Bouboulos and Blanche Tsetong.

The patients are referred to them by the Salvation Army’s Miranda branch. The patients are mainly people who are low income and who simply cannot get proper dental services in any other way.

Dentist Tsetong states, that often times people sacrifice their dental health in favor of paying the important bills in the household. Then, they are left with literally nothing that will pay for medical services that they greatly need.

It is important to help these people who are forced every month to choose between paying the rent, paying for the food or paying for getting proper dental care.

Dentists state that the number of children who are being brought in for dental care is simply amazing. Parents are first booking appointments for their children, and they will book themselves only after that.

Dr. Tsetong also offers such free dental services for people who are in jail, especially those that are in urgent need of such medical help.

She also states that without a nice set of teeth, it is almost impossible to have access to a decent job. Healthy teeth are definitely a sign of self esteem and proper care, and people with healthy teeth will have access much quicker to proper jobs.

People with a bad dental health are immediately rejected by the society, and these people are also extremely embarrassed to talk in public, or to attend any social meetings.

There is a huge demand of such free clinic nationwide, because the economic times are tough and this also can be observed by the long waiting lists that form at these clinics.
