The Southern Illinois University of Carbondale will host next month a free dental care event for low-income and uninsured adults.

HOT!

The event is held on July 13th, from 9:00 am to 4:00pm at the SIU Carbondale Dental Hygiene Clinic.

The main sponsors of the free dental care event are the Southern Illinois Dental Hygienist’s Society and the SIU Carbondale Dental Hygiene Program.

This event targets mainly to offer free dental care for low-income or uninsured adults over 20.

There are a lot of adults who cannot afford event basic dental care, and many of them do have to go to work and attend to all the other daily tasks with great dental pain.

This is why such humanitarian events are more than welcome.

Among the free dental services provided there will be professional dental cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatments, and general dental checkups.

The organizers welcome all those adults who are uninsured or who are under Medicaid coverage.

It is important to mention that the deadline for registration for the event is by July 6.

You can call at the following number anytime and ask to get registered: 618/453-8826 and tell there that you would like to get enrolled for the “Give Adults a Smile Day” on July 13th.

At the event, several professionals and volunteers and going to join forces in order to give something back to the community. According to estimations, there will be 60+ patients treated during this one day.

Professionals understand that Medicaid coverage has been cut too much, and this is why they come to offer help to these patients, who would otherwise not be able to pay for the treatments.
