Children from families without dental insurance are welcome to join this free dental event on June 18.
The free dental services will start at 4:00pm and the event will last until 7:00pm. This will basically be a drop-in clinic, with main location the Cobourg Public Library.
It is not uncommon to hold such free dental care events in public spaces, especially if there will be offered only oral heath education or routine dental checkups.
On the spot, a registered dental hygienist registered with the Halliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit will offer these free oral health examinations.
Moreover, the hygienist will offer free oral health advice regarding the dental needs of these children. The Cobourg Public Library is located at 200 Ontario Street.
Patients are advised to join their children for these checkups, because the dentists will offer precious advice regarding the financial support available for the treatment of their children (such as financial support in order to provide your child with the needed braces).
It is important to remember that parents should bring along their child’s health card.
Also, those families who are on Ontario Works Benefits should call at the following number: 1-888-599-9399.
These children will be provided with basic dental care, and there is no need for any screenings in prior. The local health unit can be contacted through the following number: 905-885-9100
