Free Mission of Mercy Dental Clinic in Wilmington
This Saturday and Sunday, there will be a free dental clinic held in Wilmington. The exact location of the clinic will be at the Schwartz Center of the Cape Fear Community College. The aim of the event is to offer free dental services for the less fortunate residents of the city.
Among the free dental services provided there will be extractions, professional dental cleanings and fillings. It is important to mention that for a limited number of patients, the dental staff will also provide front tooth partial dentures. According to estimations, over the 2-day period of the free dental clinic, the staff will provide care for up to 1,000 patients.
Adult Free Dental Day in Galesburg
Given the fact that there are so many people who cannot have proper access to appropriate dental care services, the Knox County Health Department will offer one full day of free dental services for adults. This is already the second free dental event of this kind, and the services will be offered from 8:00am to 3:pm on Friday (May 4).
The exact location of the event is at the Carl Sandburg College School of Dental Hygiene, CSC Annex at 209 East Main St.
Patients will be offered the free dental services on a first come, first served basis, and there are no appointments required. Everyone with dental health issues is welcome to join the event, and there will be no financial status related questions asked. Moreover, at the site there will be African French and Spanish translators available to help mediate communication between patients and the medical staff.
Free Oral Health Screenings in Arlington
The dental access program called “Smiles for Life” will host a free dental health screenings day on May 1st. The location of the event is at Stillaguamish Senior Center at 18308 Smokey Point Blvd. in Arlington. The screenings start at 9:00am.
The oral health staff will provide free neck, head and oral cancer screenings. The screenings are offered for free, but appointments are required. In order to make these appointments, patients should call at the following number: 360-652-2232
