Free Dental Services Available for Low Income
The city of Kalamazoo in Michigan hosts a free medical and dental services event on May 11th. These services are offered through Project Connect and besides dental health services, low income people will also be offered professional advice on parenting, and children will receive free shoes.
The city of Kalamazoo in Michigan hosts a free medical and dental services event on May 11th.
These free health services are offered through Project Connect and besides dental health services, low income people will also be offered professional advice on parenting, and children will receive free shoes.
Among the free dental services offered, there are included free exams and professional dental cleanings. The event will start at noon and will last until 5pm.
The location is the Kalamazoo County Expo & Fairground. There will be an opening ceremony held at 11:45 am, after which people are invited to join the free healthy day event.
It is important to know that Project Connect is a joint collaboration between local governments, but also businesses and other community groups.
All of these entities joined forces and offer free services through the Kalamazoo County Poverty Reduction Initiative.
Starting as early as 11:20 am, a shuttle will run from Ministry with Community and the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
This shuttle will run every 20 minutes, so that people can get to the event in time and so that a greater number of people will be offered transportation to reach the event.
Free bus passes are also offered at the following locations among others: the Catholic Family Services, Comstock Community Center, Deacon’s Conference, Edison Neighborhood Association, Housing Resources, Kalamazoo County Department of Human Services, Northside Association for Neighborhood Development or YMCA.
