Feb 12, 2011 (Norwalk Reflector – McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) — About 60 youngsters took advantage of “Give Kids a Smile Day” this year, local dentist Dr. Joseph Kim said.
The event, in its ninth year, is a free dental clinic, providing dental help for low income children, those without insurance or who simply don’t have a dentist.

Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps (RAM) will hold a free dental help, vision and medical clinic in Nashville on Saturday, February 19 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, February 20 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. at McGavock High School, located at 3150 McGavock Pike in Nashville.
Program Brings Free Dental Help to McCamey
MCCAMEY – Cold temperatures didn’t stop West Texans from getting up at the crack of dawn. On Saturday morning, more than 300 people lined up outside the Upton County Park Building in McCamey to take advantage of free dental help. After a few fundraisers and 10 months later, 22 dentists made their debut in McCamey. Smiles on Wheels is a program put on by the Texas Dental Association.
Local dentists host event to provide free help
About 200 people formed a line for free dental services in the Millhopper Family Dentistry parking lot Saturday morning. The dental office collaborated with local endodontists, periodontists and oral surgeons for the event Care to Share, which offered free fillings, extractions and cleanings.
Tickets were handed out at 7 a.m., but people started lining up at 5:30 p.m. Friday to ensure a spot. The temperature dropped to 34 degrees during their wait. The first 100 people who arrived received free care.
Local dentists offer free help, promote healthy teeth
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) – Small Smiles Dental Centers of Cincinnati is offering free dental help this Valentine’s Day as a part of their “Healthy Smile, Happy Child” day.
The screenings will be available at their locations at 2830 Colerain Avenue and at 1860 Seymour Avenue in Roselawn. The free screenings will be offered from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and are part of an effort to promote healthy smiles during Children’s Dental Health Month in February.
