Free Dental Health Fair Day in Los Angeles

In times of economic crisis, free medical and dental treatments are more then welcome. People can hardly make ends meet, let alone pay for medical and dental insurance policies that offer them full coverage.

For this reason, UCLA will offer free medical and dental services for those who cannot afford them. The free medical and dental care day will be held on September 10.

Among the services provided, it is important to mention the free professional dental cleanings, dental fillings, vision exams, and mammograms. The event is part of the back to school fair and it is sponsored by the UCLA- Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and the SNMA (Science chapter of the Student National Medical Association).

The SNMA is one of the biggest and also the oldest organizations which are student-run and which address the medical needs of students of color.

In the past four years, the chapter has provided medical treatments and health education for well over 300 patients.

The free dental care treatments on this event will be provided by students from the UCLA School of Dentistry.

They will be supervised by professional faculty staff, and they will mainly provide teeth fillings and professional dental cleanings. The eye exams will be provided by the UCLA Mobile Eye Clinic, and the mammograms will be performed by the professional staff from the Forum Medical Group.

The health fair will take place on September 10, with operating hours from 9am to 3pm.

The location of the fair is at the Macedonia Baptist Church located at 1751 E., 114th Street, South Los Angeles.
