In areas where the number of kids and adults without dental insurance or without access to dental care is too high, such free dental clinics are extremely important.
This Saturday (February 23) in Whatcom County, Washington there will be held the 9th annual Free Kids Dental Exam & Sealant Day free dental care clinic.
Ever since the first annual event, dentists are providing a wide range of preventative free dental care treatments to kids on this special day.
The free dental care treatments include dental X-rays, professional dental cleanings, dental sealants and fluoride treatments applications.
The free dental care services are offered to children from low income families from the community of Whatcom County, WA.
Unfortunately, about 42% of the kids under 5 from Whatcom County struggle with dental cavities, and only less then 50% of these kids were ever seen by the dentist.
According to estimations, dentists will offer free dental care treatments to about 100 kids this Saturday.
The appointments for this upcoming free dental care event will be held at the Interfaith Dental Clinic on Unity Street in Whatcom County.
Those who would like to make an appointment for their kids, should call 360-714-9010 and make sure to leave a message.
