Free Dental Clinics Provide Care to Uninsured Residents

Opening of new free medical and dental clinic for the Poor in Palm Beach

The working poor citizens of Indian River and Brevard counties will enjoy the medical services offered by the new clinic that is about to open. The public can join for the ribbon cutting ceremony this Monday. The location of the clinic is 1460 Baytree Drive N.E. in Palm Bay.

The nonprofit free dental and health clinic will be known as the Space Coast Volunteers in Medicine, and there are already listed 25 dentists and 10 general physicians who will work at the clinic. More than 100 volunteers will also join their forces to help out at the clinic with different tasks. Screenings and examinations will take placed based on appointments made in prior.

The Uninsured Offered Health Screenings at the Health Expo

At Cobo Center’s Riverview Ballroom, downtown Detroit, there has been held the Health Expo for the Uninsured (8am- 5pm), on Wednesday. There have been several medical programs and services offered for free, such as diabetes screening, dental exams, general health screening, and even HIV/AIDS testing. These programs have been offered by Wayne County, the City of Detroit and the State of Michigan officials. Refreshments and entertainment has also been a part of the Health Expo for the Uninsured.

Oral Cancer Awareness Program from RADA

RADA or the Russian American Dental Association has held its annual oral cancer awareness program on April 18th. The intention of the program is to inform the general public with regards to the prevention of oral cancer. In New York City, for two months (April and May), there will be held many fundraisers, but there also will be offered many oral cancer free screenings for the public. RADA has held such events in the past three years as well, but the one in 2011 is the biggest such event so far.

New Dental Clinic Opening in the City of Cairns, AU- Free Dental Checkups

Last week, there has been opened a new dental clinic run by dentist Daniel Richards, in Cairns Square (corner of Abbot and Shields St.). The clinic is equipped with latest technology equipment such as 3D animation, and visitors can even check up the latest news on the internet, in the waiting room. The dentist offers his special deals to potential clients, and these include 40% discount for teeth whitening and free dental exams until the month of June.
