The Carefree Free Dental Clinics of Dickinson and Florence counties are still having an extremely good position on the health market.

Free dental clinic has offered in the last 10 months, free dental work worth of $50,000 to its community members, and the fact that is has such a strong position in the dental health field, is an admirable thing.

The clinic’s primary goal is to provide free dental care for people who are uninsured or underinsured.

Free dental clinic is supported by volunteer medical staff, and they all together are able to offer quality and affordable medical and dental care for people who cannot afford these services.

The non profit clinic is located in Iron Mountain (in the Northern Michigan Bank Building).

There are 35 volunteers working at the free dental clinic, out of which 10 are local dentists who donate their time and skills for a good cause.

Since its opening 10 months ago, as many as 340 patients received free dental care worth of $50,000.

Ted Fornetti, a Carefree Dental dentist says that working with these people, and being able to offer them something they truly need but cannot afford, is the most rewarding part of their job as healthcare professionals.

Then, seeing so many dentists join forces in order to help the people in their community is also something that is wonderful.

The free clinic is open each Friday (8a.m – 12p.m). Those interested to make a donation to the clinic, are welcome to contact Salvation Army at the following number: (906) – 779-5717.
