Where the dental care costs are rising there free dental care is always needed.
There were similar free dental camps in the past where people had queued up in the clinic parking lot at 3 a.m. in the same day.
But this time the wait started from 7 p.m. of the previous day. The clinic director Dr. Kenneth D. Pierson said that it gets difficult to offer free dental care to so many patients in a limited time span.
The free dental “Clinic with a Heart” had loads of people coming in; however, only first 100 could be accommodated. That is how the free dental clinic had set up the rule.
The rest were given appointment in the clinic at a later date. It is just not the clinic where the welfare of the patients was taken care.
Appointments at a later date were a proof that the intention was to eliminate the tooth problem from base as much as possible.
People had to say that though they had arrived very early to avail the service but they were not included in the priority list of 100 patients. But they were hoping to get visit appointments.
Patients with tremendous tooth ache got included in the priority list and waited for their turn to get the doctors attention. In fact, after the service, the patients were extremely happy and said that the clinic personel are very kind enough to give 100% attention to all the patients.
