Free Dental Clinic for Music Professionals Scheduled

Music professionals will have the chance to get free dental treatments in Lafayette.

The event is organized at the Lafayette Community Health Care Clinic at 1317 Jefferson Street.

The free dental clinic will be held on June 20, from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The clinic is hosted by the Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation Healthcare Initiative, which generally supports those involved in cultural activities such as actors, singers or performers and offers them affordable healthcare services.

According to Kathy Richard who is the director of the Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation, the clinic will welcome roadsters, musicians, singers, and even music agents.

Appointments need to be made well in advance, by calling at the following number: (337) 366-8970, and all those who wish to receive these services need to present some identification documents.

This is already the 4th such free dental clinic which is held by the LCEF-HI, and the clinics held in prior offered dental treatments to as many as 35 music professionals.

This free dental clinic is a joint partnership of LCEF-hi, MusiCares, and the Smile Program.

Further eligibility criteria:
-minimum 5 years continuous employment in the music industry
-minimum 6 singles released or 6 promotionally released video clips
