According to a report from Chicago Breaking News, the Du Page Community Clinic is closing down.

The free dental clinic is reputed for its tradition of offering free dental programs for well over 20 years now.

It will close at the end of June, and among the main reasons for this, is that the donations are insufficient in order to continue activity.

Only in 2010, more than 1,600 patients without insurance have received free dental treatments such as fillings, extractions, dental cleaning or crowns.

There are more than 30 dental professionals who volunteer at the Du Page community clinic.

The clinic has decided to invest the available funding into its facility that can be found in Westmont.

This particular free clinic, in 2010 has received more than 5,000 visitors (with 60% more visitors than in 2009).

It is also estimated that in the following years, this number will grow to 9,000 visitors in the upcoming years.

According to a dentist who has been interviewed, the official board should have made the announcement that the clinic is running out of funding much earlier.
