Dimapur, February 27 (MExN): A medical camp was organized by 4003 Field Hospital under the aegis of HQ 3 Corps at Sarbura Government Middle School, Kashiram village on February 26. The Army in a press release has stated that this medical camp provided free medical and dental check up and services for various commonly occurring ailments in the civil population.
Col MS Bindra, Commanding Officer Field Hospital, along with a team of 5 doctors including 2 lady doctors to cater to the needs of female patients and a team of dental doctors of 3 Corps Dental Unit examined the patients. A lab and dressing station were also setup along with an exhibition comprising of health education material to highlight the preventive aspects of various diseases.

Smiles abound at free dentistry event in Whittier
WHITTIER – A dental office provided smiles to more than 100 patients this week, and maybe even saved some lives, as it provided free dental services. The California Dental Group, owned by dentist Kamran Sahabi, offered free services Sunday and Wednesday to patients at all five of its locations. The most crowded of the offices for the free dental care was in Whittier, at 14322 Telegraph Road, Sahabi said, though dozens of patients also lined up for free dentistry in Eagle Rock, North Hollywood and two offices in Glendale.

WILKES-BARRE – Volunteers in Medicine, located at 190 N. Pennsylvania Ave., will hold a grand opening event for the new free dental clinic from 4 to 7 p.m. March 16. The ribbon-cutting will take place at 4:30 p.m. VIM has expanded services to include free dental care.
The medical component of the clinic, which opened in June 2008, provides a wide range of free services including primary and preventive health care, counseling services, pharmacology, eye care, nutritional education, podiatry, chiropractic services and physical therapy. The clinic’s services are available to residents of Luzerne County who are employed, meet specific income guidelines and have no access or cannot afford health insurance. “Richmond Smiles” Program Provides Dental Care to the Uninsured
Research shows good oral hygiene is not only vital to maintaining your gums and teeth, but also greatly contributes to your overall health. This is why the Virginia Department of Health, Bon Secours and the Richmond City Health District have collaborated to create the “Richmond Smiles” van, a program that brings free dental services to the uninsured. The van stops at various locations in Richmond every month.
