Dental Clinic Scheduled Free Dental Day for Uninsured

On May the 14th at Park City Dentistry with its office situated at 1600 Snow Creek Drive, there will be held a free dental care day. According to Dr. Cody Calderwood, there are a lot of citizens in Park City who simply cannot afford even basic dental treatments.

Although there are many well of citizens living in the city, there are also many who live with tooth pain day by day because they can’t afford a dental checkup and proper treatments.

In 2010, the Park City Dentistry office has joined forces with a non profit organization called “Dentistry from the Heart”, so they were able to offer free dental treatments to those in need. However, this year Dr. Calderwood has decided that there is no need to partner up with a non profit organization in order to offer free dentistry services for one day.

According to manager RanDee Graham, last year the clinic received so many dental supplies and materials that they are enough to provide one free dentistry day this year as well, and there is no need to use anything from donations.

Further, Graham tells that it is much easier and efficient to provide free dental services for the uninsured through a dentistry day, than providing these services throughout the year. Dr. Calderwood hopes that the event will be a success, since last year the patients started lining up very early in the morning hours in front of the office.

The services offered include either a free professional dental cleaning, or an extraction or a dental filling. The doctor estimates that there will be served at least 30 patients on this day, and they will be offered these services on a first come first served basis.

Calderwood says that there will be treated especially patients who normally cannot afford dental services, and such a humanitarian event is going to make a difference in the lives of people who are underserved. The dentistry is open Mon to Sat from 10am to 6pm.
