Two Days of Free Dental Care for Those Who Cannot Afford It

March the 25th and the 26th are dedicated to free dental hygiene for people who cannot afford to pay for it.

The North Carolina “Missions of Mercy” clinic will be present at The Centre at Halifax Community College, and will have the following program:

1. March 25th- 7:30 am- 5 pm
2. March 26th – 7:30am- 3pm

This is already the second annual free dental clinic intended for adults only brought to you by North Carolina Dental Society in partnership with the Daily Herald and NC Dental Health Fund.

During the two days of the free clinic, it is estimated that around 500 people will get free dental care – including extractions, restorative care and special dental cleanings.

It is important to note that only people who can make a proof of income or unemployment can benefit of free dental care.

Basically the clinic is intended to help individuals whose income is not exceeding 200% of the National Poverty guideline.

The clinic will be fully equipped with the latest medical technology supplies, such as digital x-rays and a mobile x-ray van.

Certainly the free clinic welcomes any donations like money or food from local individuals or businesses, who can afford and want to get involved with the free dental care for needy persons humanitarian event, and in order to support the 250+ volunteers that will be present to help out.

Anyone interested to lend a hand such as volunteering or making a donation, can freely call 252-536-7234.
