Columbine Health Systems Anniversary and Free Dental Care Day Events

Columbine Health Systems will hold two pancake breakfasts for all its 1,300 employees, because it is celebrating its 40th anniversary. These breakfast celebrations will be held on June 21 at the South Campus (1365 W 29th St.) in Loveland, from 8:30 to 10:30am.

The next pancake breakfast celebration will be held on June 23 on 947 Worthington Circle in Fort Collins, at the North Campus.

The story of the Columbine Health Systems starts back in 1971. At the time, it began its activities with a single nursing home that was located in Fort Collins. Ever since, throughout an assiduous career of 40 years, the Columbine Health System has developed and today it has 22 practices all throughout Loveland and Fort Collins.

The owner of Columbine is Bob Wilson, who operated the businesses all throughout these 40 years. In a statement he has given, he said that their pleasure and purpose was to take care of the elderly of the community.

They had employees who stayed with the health system even for 20 or 30 years, and Wilson notes that the entire success of the business comes from these loyal employees.

Yet another event –a community open house-that will commemorate the anniversary will be held on September 29 at the Drake Centre, 802W. Drake Road.

Another very important event is a free dental care day for those in need, which will be offered by Foothills Family Dental, on June 24. The location of the office is 523 Remington St. There will be provided many free dental services for those who cannot afford it. Among these, it is important to mention:

• Free professional dental cleanings
• Extractions
• Basic dentures for the missing front teeth

People who are underprivileged or who cannot afford even basic dental care are welcome to join the event. The free dental services will be provided on a first come first served basis, no registration is needed.
