There are numerous reasons why a person needs to consider Mexico as a primary source for dental care rather than an alternative source. Here are some of those primary reasons.
The costs for dental care in the US have gotten way too expensive as a result of the system there.
The cost for the education required for a dentist in America is much too expensive, and a dentist who graduates in the US has a large debt load of student loans that must be paid back.
In addition, the costs to set up operations are also very expensive. The overhead is so expensive because of the combined costs to set up a dental practice of such things as malpractice insurance, insurance, taxes, workman’s compensation for the employees, salaries, and rent.
Therefore, in the US, a dentist has to charge more, and even feel that they need to make an even larger profit as a result of all the costs that they have incurred in setting up a dental practice and receiving an education.
But, a dentist in Mexico receives just as good an education, but pays much less for that education.
The reason for this is that the Mexican government subsidizes the cost of the education of the dentist, and is paid back by the dentist serving two years of unpaid service providing free care to the underprivileged.
In addition, the overhead costs are much less expensive. The fact is that there isn’t any need for malpractice insurance because the dentists can’t be sued so easily in Mexico.
As a result a Mexican dentist has an overhead that is much less expensive and they will still make a good profit while charging much less. The normal costs for dental care in Mexico are only approximately one fourth of what they are in the US.
For instance, a standard porcelain crown with the core build up in the US will cost as much as $1000 whereas in Mexico the cost for the same crown is only $225.
A root canal in the US will cost as much as $1,150 and the same service in Mexico is only $225. If a person in America has a major dental problem, the cost for treatment can be as much as $10,000, but in Mexico the same treatment can be done for as little as $2,500.
These are the reasons why many people feel that the trip to Mexico is worth it. Other benefits of Mexican dental care include:
- A superior quality of dental care.
- Tijuana, Mexico is easily accessible.
- It is a safe environment.
- Mexico is a great place to vacation while you are receiving treatment because there are fun things to do, the food is great, and the lodging is inexpensive.
These are just some of the reasons why you should consider Mexico for dental care.
