Question

How often is deep cleaning required?

Answer

Rating: +0

Positive Negative

The deep cleaning of the gums and teeth surface is required only when have not been maintaining a good oral hygiene, and that is for around every 6-9 months.

It is not indicated very regularly, as the deep cleaning is not just any other oral hygiene method but a part of the periodontal therapy done on patients to keep their gums and teeth healthy.

Deep teeth and gum cleaning is done systematically on a timely manner when the normal oral care is not being done.

The deep cleaning is done by the specialized scalers, which reach the deeper areas between the gums and the tooth surface.

The deep cleaning done here is needed when a gum disease is seen, after improper dental care for a long time. Till then your normal oral hygiene techniques like the toothbrushing, flossing, mouthwash etc. would be well enough to take care of everything.
