Can lost bridge be tightened into my gums again or do I have to get a new bridge?
Question
I have a bridge on the upper right side – two teeth – the bridge is loose – wiggling around. Can it be tightened into my gums again or do I have to get a new bridge.
Answer
The bridge can be tightened, but before that, you need to know the reason for it becoming loose and wiggling. Is there any decay in the teeth from which the bridge is taking the support? You need to show up to a dentist to get it checked.
Usually tightening helps, only if the adjacent teeth are fine and not damaged, but if they are decayed or fractured, then the support from them lessens, and you have to opt for a new prosthesis.
