What is the best way to lance an abscess at home?

It’s bad idea. Lancing abscess at home may get most of the infection out, you need to be careful not to make too large incision, or it will take a long time to heal and make the infection worse. You need antibiotics to get it fully and possibly a root treatment for the tooth, unless it became a gum abscess. Take your pain meds and swish with warm salt water and a numbing agent.

So if you will lance it by yourself it will cause more pain that it is now. It’s better to see your dentist immediately or as soon as possible.
