Volunteer Dentists to Provide Free Dental Services

The Dental Care Center offices of Drs. Harrold, Higgins, Mani & Watson, formerly Carolina Dental Associates, has rescheduled free dental care day for April 10.
Dr. James Harrold, Dr. Michael Watson, Dr. George Mani and Dr. Stuart Higgins have held free dental days in Fayetteville, Rocky Mount and Smithfield. An event was scheduled for Saturday at 2140 W. Arlington Blvd. in Greenville but has been postponed due to the high expected severity of the flu season this year. A free dental day scheduled in Wilson also has been rescheduled.

Dental Treatment Services Scheme: Under the Dental Treatment Services Scheme (DTSS), adults who are medical card holders are entitled to free dental care. Treatment is free to the patient, and privately practising dentists who take part in this scheme claim back the cost of services provided from the Primary Care Reimbursement Scheme (PCRS) in the HSE on a fee-for-service basis.

Free dental care coming to Billings
People in serious need of dental care, will soon have the option to get treated for free. On November 16th area dentists will unite for “Thanksgiving Give Back a Smile Project” in Billings.
The Thanksgiving Give Back a Smile Project is Friday, November 20th, but RiverStone Health says people need to start applying now. About 92 appointments will be given to people in need of dental care.

Aloha Medical Team offers Surgical and Dental Mission
A team of expert Filipino-American and Australian doctors and nurses with 50 members are setting their plans to conduct simultaneous surgical and dental missions in the province of Bohol to commemorate and honor the late Pres. Carlos P. Garcia, a Boholano former Philippine president who is known for his Filipino- First policy and humanitarian values.
The said activity is set to benefit hundreds of Boholano indigent and under-privileged patients for free dental services, major and minor medical-surgical operation for goiter, ovarian cyst, hernia, colostomy, and cleft-palate reconstructive surgeries.

Free dental care for poor leaves happy smiles
Healthy Smiles for Life aims to provide more than $100,000 worth of free treatment this year to patients most in need, from simple cleans to braces and more involved orthodontic treatments.
Program co-ordinator Katherine Barbeler said more than 220 dentists have volunteered nationally, with more signing up each day.
