Free mobile dental clinic will be in Moreland July 7-10

A few slots are still available for a free ministry that will provide dental services next week in Moreland. The church has already heard from a number of local people “who cannot afford to see the dentist,” Ausbun said. “We have local dentists who have volunteered their time.”

Free medical, dental services available to qualified applicants

There is a new program now taking applications for free medical and dental services in northeastern Louisiana. Northeast Louisiana Virtual Clinic will have an eligibility screening from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 10 at Pentecostals of the Twin Cities, 1255 Glenwood Dr. (Frontage Road), in West Monroe.

Free health, dental exams for Top of Utah children

OGDEN — For 12 years, thousands of Ogden children have received free health and dental exams thanks to McKay-Dee Hospital and the Junior League of Ogden.

This year, the Children’s Health Connection will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at James Madison Elementary School, 2563 Monroe Blvd. Children will receive complete comprehensive physical examinations, dental examinations, vision and hearing screenings, free prescriptions, vaccinations, toothbrushes, books, socks, underwear and a haircut.

Free dental screenings offered at health fair

St. Mary’s Health System will join with the Boys and Girls Club of Evansville to present the “Healthy Families” Health Fair for club members. The fair is scheduled 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the club, 700 Bellemeade Ave.

St. Mary’s Mobile Dental Clinic will offer free dental screenings for children up to age 19. Appointments are required and can be made by calling (812) 485-5843. The St. Mary’s Community Outreach Team will provide information on nutrition and activities to teach children about the importance of healthy choices.

Thanks for Mission of Mercy free dental care services

Professionals nationwide from all capacities in the field of dentistry, students from Marquette University, workers and volunteers came together at Sheboygan North High School. There, they offered the public, and especially those in need, absolutely free dental services, including X-rays, examinations, cleanings, extractions, fillings and limited treatment partials.

Nearly $760,000 in Free Dental Services Provided Since January

HARRISBURG, Pa., June 23 — United Concordia Dental, one of the nation’s largest dental insurers, and a number of community organizations have provided nearly $760,000 in free dental care since January to 3,678 children and adults across the nation.

In 2008 and 2009, United Concordia Dental has helped deliver dental care at no cost to 6,371 people with minimal or no insurance. The national dental insurer expects to help deliver more than $1 million in free dental care by the end of this year.

SIUC offers free dental services for children

CARBONDALE — Southern Illinois children can get free dental care starting today courtesy of the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Dental Hygiene Program.

Several preventive dental care sessions are set at locations throughout the region in coming weeks. The free program includes visual oral examinations by Dr. Dwayne Summers, director of the Dental Hygiene Program. The University’s dental hygiene students will also provide teeth cleaning, fluoride treatment and sealant application.

Children ages 3 to 18 are eligible. The program enables children to comply with state requirements for oral examinations if they are entering kindergarten, second or sixth grades.

VA dentist welcomes scrutiny

The VA is offering free tests to screen for hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV. Nearly 200 people had signed up for, or already had, testing. No illnesses have been found.
