Miami, Fla., Feb. 10 – DentaQuest today donated dental hygiene products to World Vision to distribute to children in Haiti. The thousands of toothbrushes, toothpastes and floss that DentaQuest donated will go toward building the supply of oral health products to aid the children and families devastated by the earthquakes in Haiti.

“After witnessing the major destruction left by the earthquakes in Haiti and the heart-wrenching misfortune placed upon the families left to start anew, we were thankful to find World Vision to help us in getting oral health supplies to Haiti,” said Alison Cardenas, executive director of client services in Florida for Atlantic Dental, Inc. (ADI), a DentaQuest company.

“As a company that is committed to improving oral health care for the underserved in Florida and across the nation, we felt it was our duty to help our neighbors and provide these products to the children and families in Haiti during this time of need.”

“We thank World Vision for their assistance in transporting and distributing these supplies in Haiti, and send our deepest condolences to families around the world that were impacted by this natural disaster,” concluded Cardenas.

“World Vision is deeply grateful to DentaQuest for this donation,” said Angela Appleton, corporate relations senior representative of World Vision. “As Haitian families and communities begin the massive task of rebuilding their lives, these goods will be an important contribution to their overall health and well-being.

World Vision welcomes more partners like DentaQuest, as we continue to meet immediate needs in Haiti and plan for long-term recovery.”

DentaQuest is committed to increasing the access to oral health care for all Floridians. DentaQuest serves nearly 14 million members in 24 states and the District of Columbia and is the largest administrator of government dental programs in the nation.
