The mini dental implants are actually small diameter implants and they provide an extremely fast and convenient solution to patients who struggle with missing teeth.

Dental science has advanced a lot in the past few decades, and the mini implants seem to be the answer to most of the denture related complications.

The structure of the mini implant is made up of a very small diameter titanium part (between 1.8 and 3 mm). This implant is fixated at the root of the tooth, and it will secure the denture perfectly.

The FDA has already approved these mini implants, and the system has already become a huge favorite of both dentists and patients. The dental implants are extremely effective even in cases when there is not enough space in order to fit the regular implants in the jaw of the patient.

There is a procedure known as denture stabilization through which the lower dentures are stabilized with the help of these mini implants. The entire procedure is done in a single day, and patients are very satisfied that they can go through an important dental procedure within such a short time frame.

After the job is completed, the patient can use the dentures right away in order to chew the food, and there is no large discomfort present. In some cases, the standard implants can be used only if bone grafting is performed in prior.

With the apparition of the mini implants, bone grafting is not necessary anymore, because these can be fitted even when there is little healthy bone mass available.
