Humanitarian Dental Event Awed People at Kenyan Stadium

The Kenya Red Cross Society, together with the Kenya Hope Foundation and the Italian Rotary club joined their forces for a creating a health camp.

The free dental event took place on site of the Isiolo Stadium in Kenya.

Exhausting day for both the oral health staff and the people who arrived for free treatments, everything went very well.

During the one day free dental health camp, more than 200 people got examined and treated.

The same camp has been held in another location too, at St Francis Children Village in Meru, where the number of patients treated was triple (600+).

Besides being equipped with ultra modern dental equipment, the mobile clinic was also equipped with high-tech instant X-ray machines and gynecological kits and scanners.

The mobile hospital is able to provide medical care for a huge number of people on a daily basis. It certainly depends on the number of professional doctors attending, and the length of the free consultation and treatment program.

Dr. John Devalle is a dentist who joined the event from Italy, where his place of residence is.

He admitted in an interview that being able to help people who cannot afford oral health treatments offers him fulfillment and tremendous satisfaction.

Each of the participating organizations had a well defined purpose: The Kenya Hope Foundation provided the logistics part, the Rotary Club brought medical expertise, while the Red Cross donated the medicine.
