Dental health is focus of new free dental work program
Free dental-health services for Mower County children from low-income or uninsured families will start this month as part of a year-long program.
Children’s Dental Health Services, of Rochester, will use space at Mower County Public Health — on the south side of Austin’s Oak Park Mall — to provide services for children age 13 and younger.
“It’ll help to prevent tooth decay and promote good dental health,” public health director Margene Gunderson said.
The first day is set for 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 16.

ACCESS Hosts Free Health Fair - Free Medical and Dental Work
DEARBORN, Mich. — ACCESS Community Health and Research Center is hosting its Health-O-Rama on Saturday.
During the event a number of community physicians will be available to provide free medical screenings for all adults who attend. Some of the free screenings include blood pressure, weight, height, cholesterol and dental hygiene.

Panhandle children to receive free dental work
Sixty students, dental faculty and staff from the UNMC College of Dentistry will travel 500 miles today and Saturday to serve the dental needs of 200 children in western Nebraska.
This is the sixth year in which the dental college will travel across the state to offer dental services, at no cost, to children in the Panhandle region of Nebraska.
