Free dental work available for kids
Tri–City kids have a chance to receive free dental work this week. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile arrived in Grand Island Monday. The vehicle is staffed with a dentist and two dental assistants.
A number of local dentists are also volunteering their time.
They are providing dental work at no cost to children from low income families.

West Virginia initiative provides free dental services to needy residents
With the California budget calling for the elimination of Medi-Cal benefits including dental care, many Americans are left to wonder how they will afford annual exams without dental insurance.
One program in Martinsburg, West Virginia aims to improve the area’s dental health care, according to the Herald-Mail.
Many residents in the Eastern Panhandle cannot access dental health providers, even if they have insurance due to low income and the facility locations.

Luke Rodriquez and his brother Jacob flashed their pearly whites at a free dental screening.
They are not alone, Casa de Amigos inviting the Department of State Health Services for an extra day of dental screening due to the need.

Mt. Hood provides free dental help to needy
Faculty and students from the college’s free dental hygiene program treated 120 patients through the Compassion Rockwood event on May 30.
This free dental clinic provided cleaning, extractions and fillings to uninsured, low-income residents.
Students, dentists and Medical Teams International treated the patients at the Gresham Campus.
The college’s dental hygiene students have participated in this free dental event for three years.

Columbus Lions to give kids free dental screenings
The Columbus Lions will be offering a free dental screening to 100 area kids who are members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley.
The screenings which will be Friday at the Columbus Civic Center are sponsored by United Concordia Dental based in Harrisburg, Pa.
