District Health Department to provide free oral health services

The dental staff of the Can Buren/Cass District Health Department is planning a “Dental Health Day,” during which they will provide free oral health care services, such as oral examinations, oral cancer screenings, and oral hygiene education, to individuals ages five and older.

Dentist to Provide Free Dental Services to Those in Need Friday, January 22

Dr. Richard Evans, a practitioner of dentistry for more than 30 years, announced today that he is donating his time for a free day of dental services at his Los Gatos office, Friday, January 22. This special day of free dental care is by appointment only on a first come, first served basis. This effort comes in the midst of an economic decline, when many Bay Area residents have lost their jobs, foreclosed on their homes, and suffered great levels of emotional stress.

The New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA) will host the national Give Kids a Smile! (GKAS) Children’s Dental Access Day for the eighth year on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at more than 80 participating locations around the state.

On this day, thousands of children (12 and under) will have access to free dental care at any of the participating locations.
