Free Dental Services Day Planned for Knox County.
The Knox County Health Department is moving ahead with an event to get some dental help to adults.
The dental health clinic at the department focuses mainly on child dental issues, but Director of the clinic Rhonda Peterson tells WGIL adults are calling all the time looking for dental care because they cannot afford it.
“Even when I go to the dentist, it’s sticker shock when they tell you how much one filling or even a cleaning you know, it’s very cost prohibitive for many people. It seems like people will try to get their kids dental care and then they put themselves off.”
Peterson says they will try to alleviate some of that need with a free adult dental care day in April.
