Uninsured children can receive free dental service Feb. 5

Parents can sign up their children to receive free dental services on Give Kids A Smile Day, scheduled this year for Friday, Feb. 5. The event is sponsored by the Oral Health Bridgeport Initiative and open to all uninsured children.

Offered will be exams, X-rays, cleanings, sealants, fillings, crowns, root canals and extractions.

Free dental service for youths offered Feb. 5

Shasta College dental hygiene students and the Shasta Community Health Center in Redding will hold free dental exams Feb. 5 for children up to 18 years old.

Free dental services are for youths with no dental insurance and will include free X-rays, fillings, sealants and cleanings.

Free dental services screenings to begin for county students

Free dental services, screenings have been scheduled at four Limestone County Schools, which are aimed at improving dental services for Alabama’s uninsured or underinsured youth.

On Wednesday, dental screenings will be offered at Owens Elementary School and West Limestone High School. Screenings will be offered Thursday at Elkmont High School and on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at East Limestone High School.

Dentists offer free dental services to kids

The Harbor City and Harbor Gateway Boys and Girls Clubs, in conjunction with Doctor Smile Dental Group, will provide free dental services Saturday for up to 80 children ranging in age from 6 to 18.

Free dental services will include a full oral exam, cleaning, extractions, fluoride treatment and fill sealants.

Free dental service for kids

The Southeastern District Dental Society is having its annual Give Kids a Smile day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Armstrong Atlantic State University Dental Hygiene Clinic at the Savannah Mall, near Dillard’s. Children aged 3-18 will be seen for a free dental exam, cleaning and needed dental treatment.

MDA to offer free dental service to children for 8th straight year

In an attempt to provide essential dentistry care for children who cannot afford the costs for appointments or appropriate insurance, a group of Minnesota dentists has announced it will provide free care this February.

Over the course of February 5 and 6, the Minnesota Dental Association recently announced it would sponsor free dentistry appointments at almost 200 locations across the state.

It is the eighth year that the MDA – which represents 81 percent of all dentists within the state – has provided the free service to youths in need.
