Seaside dwellers in Zamboanga get free checkups

Hundreds of residents of Barangay Sangali, a village situated along Zamboanga City’s east coast, benefited from free medical and dental services initiated by ABS-CBN Zamboanga Station on Saturday

Dr. Dexter Bubuli, medical officer from the Police Regional Office-9, said unsanitary living conditions might cause an outbreak of skin diseases in the area. He noted that most of the residents are living below poverty line.

FREE DENTAL EXAMS FOR CHILDREN

LaPorte County Dental Services is offering free dental exams for children on Medicaid or who do not have access to dental insurance.

Appointments are available from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, and Tuesday, Sept. 1; 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2; 8 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 3; and 8 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4.

LaPorte County Dental Services provides quality dental care to low-income children and adults without dental insurance. For more information, call 326-1943.
