Dental Care Basics – Getting Adequate Dental Services in Laborious Times

In Minnesota, dentists and hygienists are giving free care to thousands of children who don’t have insurance. The program is termed “Provide Child’s a Smile”. In Connecticut, there is a corporation referred to as “Connecticut Mission of Mercy” providing free dental care to kids and adults. In South Bend, Indiana, the IUSB Dental Hygiene Clinic provides a free sealant clinic for children ages vi to 14. The list goes on and I can not probably cover all the free services out there across the state within the scope of this article. It is sufficient, for our functions here, to form you aware that these free services exist and encourage you to scan your native newspapers, the Net and different resources to ferret out these opportunities.

Sapian town hosts BCBP medical dental mission

Dr. Dante Corros, BCBP Capiz Chapter head, said of the 300 recipients of free services, 100 availed of dental assistance while 200, of medical services such as blood pressure monitoring, bone scanning, and blood screening.

Free dental services donated to 140 area veterans

HUBER HEIGHTS — The vast majority of the 140 veterans who received more than $100,000 in free dental treatment Wednesday at ABC Dental had not been to a dentist in years.

One veteran in his 60s had all 22 of his teeth — which were rotted to the gum line — removed.

Dentists to give free dental services in North County, Union

Dr. Sam Cigno of Cigno Dental Care in north St. Louis County will deliver free dental care Friday to young adults from the Covenant House.

The young people, ages 16 to 21, will arrive at his office at 8 a.m. and continue until each person has been helped, said Gina Cigno Haas, spokeswoman for Cigno Dental Care.

Dentist helps fill cracks in veterans’ dental help with free services

BREWSTER — Anthony Gomez, 84, waited patiently, reclining in the dentist’s chair. Gomez hadn’t seen a dentist since he moved to Hyannis from Santa Barbara, Calif., three years ago.

He doesn’t complain, but Dr. Stephen Bellorini, who honored Veterans Day by offering free dental care Wednesday to all veterans, knows that life has not been easy for Gomez of late.

Issaquah dentist fills teeth, need in rural United States

Three Issaquah women flew to rural Tennessee to help provide free dental services for over 300 impoverished Americans.

“It makes you appreciate everything you have,” said dentist Donna Quinby from the Eastside Pediatric Group.

The demand for service was so high at the Oct. 23-24 event that some patients drove several hours from Ohio to get free care.

Businesses to offer special one-day deals for veterans

KINGMAN – With Veterans Day Thursday, at least two local businesses will be holding specials just for veterans in honor of their service.

The medical office of Dr. Jason Lowry plans to offer free dental examinations, X-rays and oral cancer screenings to all active U.S. troops and discharged veterans from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, with a limited number of veterans also receiving free cleanings in addition to the regular checkups.
